So this is the big news Further restructuring Three members of back room staff have been released from their contracts, as the club continues to restructure following relegation to the Conference. Fitness consultant Mark Hammond, analyst Jonathan Robinson and scout Stuart Gray have all left the club. Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them luck in the future.
No it isn't. And now that I know, I have no idea what all the fuss is about. It goes on in all walks of life, and, taking a leaf out of Private Eye, you can openly discuss it by prefacing it with the word allegedly
Right P49, CJS - I'm going to - mainly because I don't think it's that much of a big deal. Allegedly, there was a bit of a drug-taking culture amongst some of the younger players last season. Allegedly, that could be why Norburn fell out of favour, despite being a capable young player, and why we didn't renew Seanan's contract, when he was also a promising young player, allegedly. I hardly think that we're the first, or indeed the last, club to have these kind of issues. Let's face it, Rio completely avoided taking a drugs test about 10 years ago - and believe me, it wasn't because he 'forgot'. This kind of thing is prevalent in all walks of life. Sure, football players should be role models, but let's face it, most of them aren't. As a parent would you want your daughter coming home with Derek ****ing Riordan for example!?
Too late! I await the lawsuits - which of course won't come. If Private Eye can do it, so can Private Baldee....
