Will bt sport package shake sky up , ie reduce the monthly fees, many clubs and pubs can reduce the payments with bt ,, or is it all false propergander.

Won't make much difference to sky as you have to remember that BT will have to pay sky to allow them to broadcast on their platform. The only effect it may have would be on the broadband side of things with BT offering the the channel free if you get broadband and phone with them which will encourage some to move.
BT have aquired the rights to screen Premiership games so there are now 3 companies involved namely Sky, BT and ESPN. Most games are supposed to be Saturday lunchtimes, a total of 38 to be televised. Had the blurb in a letter from BT. If I remember rightly its pay per view as well so you're not tied in to a 1 month cancellation window or a 1 year contract. It isn't free for "old" customers unless they subscribe to Infinity fibre broadband. BT have allegedly paid for the cost of the games by increasing preces across the board
38 games for some would be a good balance, the club i use have been paying 650 pounds a month for sky, it can get bt for 300 , in this economic climate i think a lot of pubs and clubs will change
One game a week? Not really. Sky have normally the option of a game on a Saturday lunchtime, 2 on a sunday and 1 on a Monday so 38 games really isn't a big impact on the potential 100+ games that Sky have!
bt sports have only taken over the espn coverage. they normally have the evening kick off on a saturday. sky will still have more than 3 times the games bt sports have. they also have the champions league. plus sky have football first on a saturday night and no other company has anything like that. bt is really just replacing espn, hopefully they will get some better pundits and commentators cos espn's were gash
ESPN tried it and failed can't see BT troubling Sky either as the free channel deals will end soon then when you are hooked on the Sports channel they will try and charge for it.

How many Sunderland games will BT televise. I'm guessing not many. TV coverage in this country is rubbish. My brother in Canada can watch almost all Sunderland games in full whereas I have the option of handing over about £60 per month to Sky to see a handful of games, or watching some stuttering blurry internet stream which regularly tries to infect my PC with a virus. Why can't we just subscribe to watch all games from a single team for a reasonable price? That should be possible in this day and age.
in america one of the networks signed a deal to show every single premiership game. why cant we do that here? we need to get rid of these stupid laws around not showing 3 o'clock kick offs on saturdays
i dont see how it would tbh. if you want to go and watch the match in the pub you can go and do that now anyway
Fair point but armchair fans are different to real supporters and besides, not everyone actually likes going to the pub to watch the match. Fair shout though.
i just think if your an armchair fan you can watch it at home via a stream or goto the pub and watch a foreign broadcast. i dont think it would have a massive effect on attendances more than it already has. its more the uncertain financial climate thats hitting it
Fellas, we are spoilt these days with the amount of coverage on Sky. The last few weeks of the season were great, me and my mate watched live football four or five days running. Our women were well pissed off with being ushered to the bedroom to watch TV

We have sky sports, but virgin internet etc, will it be worth having B T as well. They should bring an away season ticket type thing so you can watch your own team every away game.

it was brilliant in a lot of ways , you could watch the games and make your own judgements didnt have a bunch of pricks going through every move , every haircut,every refs awards , in fact it would be better if they showed the game with none of this **** at all, press the f/off button to view.....................i blame jimmy hill
