Is this who we are next linked with? TBH would be an improvement on our current strikers.....stick him in the box could get a few.
Bryan Ruiz, left footed AM, can play as LM and RM aswell. Defensive skills poor. Tactical insight, passing, technique and long shots are very good. Speed and acceleration is off, strenght is par but stamina and endurance are below par. Heading and jumped are good, can score a goal from a corner kick or cross. Lethal in the box, excellent finishing capabillities. There's a very short report on him for ya based on his two year Twente period.
Nice one mate. What do you think of Ricky van Wolfswinkel, another we're heavily linked with? I liked the look of him at Utrecht, but haven't seen a lot of him since he moved to Portugal, although he looked excellent in parts in the Europa League (and his goal-game ratio has edged up). I like Ruiz, think he'd be an excellent acqusition.
Van Wolfwinkel: Had a incredible start last season, voted man of the month for i think 2 or 3 times. However, from January there was a sharp decline in the team and i think they nearly lost all the games against Porto and Benfica. So my best guess is that his morale is on a low, especially since he wasn't in the call up list of Euro 2012. Not even in the first 36. Skills: Finishing, world class. This guy can score a goal from any angle, extremely lethal in the box. He is quick on his feet and has a great first touch. Very agile player. He is not very fast though, but that is mainly because his acceleration isn't that great. And he is a bit inflexible though, he is the Huntelaar type of player, hugs the box, can play as CF but that's it. He is a classic target man. Technique is good, can take free kicks if needed. Mentally very strong, can take a punch and he is a player that can slot in a victory when the team is losing. Best example of that was Celtic - FC Utrecht over two years ago. from 2-0 in front to 2-3 down, still managed to score twice to make it 4-4 and Utrecht was through to the group stage of the EL. Where later Michel Vorm pulled off two draws against Liverpool. 0-0 and 1-1. There is however, one big drawback to this player. His consitency. He can have brilliant games, the following game he can be invisable. From what i can tell is that he is playing in one of the big games, he collapses under high pressure. But he has matured in the last two years and i think with some experience he can deal with it. Work rate is good, might be a bit complacent at times, but he is a creative player and i think he would do great at Sunderland.
Thanks for that, a Huntelaar type is kinda what we need, might do nothing for 89 mins, but give him the ball in the right area and he'll finish it. It seems to have died off in the UK press, but it was in Marca again the other day here, I'd like it to come off. There's Luca Castaignos as well who e have been loosely linked with, he looked superb at Feyenoord, but moved too soon IMO, there's a lot of talent in Holland, especially Feyenoord who have been forced to play young lads due to finances, the CL should help them with that, amazing achievement to get there last season, and run Ajax so close.
If only more people watched more Eredivisie i wouldn't have to write these reports all of the time Written about 20 now in a month
You're providing a service fella, keep it up! I like the Eiridivisie, the quality isn't great at the lesser clubs, but everybody tries to win every game, I really liked watching Venlo, they just go wild on the attack and have no clue at the back, great entertainment, especially 2 years back the side with Honda in it!
This year they had Yoshida as CB, this what he did against PSV
On the cheap?! He signed for £10.6m and has played maybe a dozen games for us. His value has neither gone up or down. If we decide to sell him it will be for around the same value as the one we paid for him.
Had his bedding in season last year didn't exactly set the world on fire but, seems a decent player. Yet again another CM and again we will have to move on some first in my honest opinion, not sure Fulham will get what they paid for him 10mil or thereabouts mind.
No mate, just googled it and he signed for Fulham on the last day of the transfer window. Therefore, I am a clown
Bit of a weird one! Like Saha, though Saha is a bit older. I don't like six months deals at all. Gives players far too much power.
Any number of reasons kidda, just one being that their agents will be out every day looking for bigger contracts for them.
Here is what i wrote on the NUFC board: Like i said, 11 to 12 million pounds will probably do the trick. If you guys were to get him he would be a great addition to the club, but only if he's in a long term plan cause he will need some time to adapt to the English playing style. He has great technique, speed and strenght but his tactical insight and consistency still needs some development to get to propper EPL level. Mind you, he is 21 though, got a lot of time to imrpove himself. Second post: Right footed, can only play as ST or CF and only if really need on the right wing, but not preferable. His technique might be good but i have yet to see him throw in a cross into the box in my life so, no, wouldn't put him on the RW spot.
