He started as captain the last few games.
You'd think we'd already done that based on the performances so far.
The experiment up to now isn’t a success. Trips should have been made captain when he was signed. But with all the talk of him moving on, he can hardly step in now. Suppose we try and make it work.

TBH i don't think he is captain material in all honesty, love his passion etc but he seems to much like a joker to actually pull people up by the bollocks and get them playing.

Right so building from this, who is gonna be captain on the pitch?
I don't like it when keepers or forwards are captain, generally defenders and midfielders are better. Of who's playing regularly and unlikely to be injured, the only other options are therefore Joelinton, Burn and Schar. I dunno.

I'd have no issue with a keeper or striker tbh but none of the current crop would get a look in for me - Shearer wasn't a half bad captain...
Burn would be the option currently. If everyone was fit then Trippier, Burn, Lascelles in that order - I'd be tempted by Botman tbh as he seems like a no nonsense kind of player. You couldn't currently but even Tonali/Joelinton would be better shouts in my humble opinion.
Burn is the obvious choice, but that would mean he needs to stay in the team and go to left back again when Botman comes back.
Kinda impossible unless he suddenly shows massive leadership qualities, which I haven't really seen yet.
You mean the former Italy u21 captain and seen by both club and fans that he would be the future AC Milan captain and would eventually end up as Italy captain?
