He's having a rotten time right now but I'm sure Boullier is well aware that their car has gone from podium material to struggling back of midfield over the course of this season. The strategic gambles are desperate and are failing miserably too. But of course if you don't like Bruno, it's all grist for the mill.
Look at the performance of the renualt when the driver he replaced (Lets not get into names) was driving compared to how the car is doing now? Its a little unfair to judge him on points if the car is not capable.
Because car speed is static right? Petrovs points before NH sacking 32 After 4 Heidfeld was 0.5 seconds slower on average in qualy than Petrov. Senna is an average of 0.08s faster. If you say spa influences that take it out and Senna is 0.07 slower. 3 factors in Sennas poor points tally. 1) Terrible car 2) Bad Luck 3) Poor consistancy He is quick, especially when you consider he is a mid season replacement with no testing.
But, qualifying isnt everything. Heidfeld was consistantly beating Petrov in the race. He was ahead 34-32, and Senna is behind 4-2(?), and the 2 came when Petrov was hit by Liuzzi's great start at Monza, making him get no points there, where he inevitably would have done.
True, but it means there is pace and therfore potential in Senna. If he can properly apply it in the races. He has also had similar misfortune to petrov in Kers failures, poor strategy and unlucky starts (he ended up last in that Monza incident)
Thats the thing, he's got the pace, but no consistancy. I'm not really into those type of people tbh, cant rely on them
Why has he not got consistency? You do not see him spinning or going off track all the time during races do you? In fact apart from his start at Spa I can't think of any real mistakes or off track excursions he has done during any races.
Well, I think you know my opinion already Mifune. I'm not going to research all of his 2011 races in an effort to provide 'evidence' to support my opinion. No doubt you have already done this. All I will say is that my impression is one of untidiness and inconsistency in his driving (nothing to do with the car).
From the races they're finished Petrov has a average position of 11.8 and Senna of 13.4. If we only use data from races they both finished petrov is still on 11.8 and Senna is now down to 14.4. In a earlier post (Here) I worked out that other rookies like di Resta and Perez are almost exactly 1 place behind their team mates on average. Its still early days for Senna but he needs to get a move on soon.
Or Petrov. We always knew Grosjean would get Kubica's seat. Its about the other one, which petrov threw into question yesterday. But yes i do expect Senna to be dropped, then Petrov, then Grosjean as the driver blame culture continues under this clown.
