i think that if kubica doesn't make it for 2012, bruno might be given that seat, as he is as good if not better than petrov and probably brings in more cash than him anyways. that being said, I personally would take him OVER petrov next season if kubica does make it.
crispa, yes, keeping the legacy alive is correct. I thought he did enough at HRT to show he deserved a go in a decent car, ok he didn't exactly set the world alight in the HRT, but he was fairly solid in it, his F1 career really started at Spa though, good quali, poor start then a solid enough drive through the backfield, yesterdays quali was ok, not great though, had a bit of misfortune at the start (was aware enough to see Liuzi coming through and stopped, otherwise he could've been out) and drove a solid, but not spectacular race. I felt he could've got past Di Resta if he'd been a bit tidier (as cosi has noted before) behind Buemi, but has got his first F1 points in the bag. Want him to do well, I think he has the raw pace but only time will tell, I think he's more worthy of the seat than Petrov.
How does that work? if there hadn't have been the accident that brought the safety car out he wouldn't have ended up at the back of the field.......... And if my granny had wheels she'd be a wooden cart!
A good performance from Senna. It was a good answer to my previous post and I hope that he can build on this to become consistent.
Another decent enough race weekend performance from Senna, out qualified his renault team-mate by a second and drove a steady race.
Well he out qualified and out raced his team mate again this weekend and you can't ask for much more than that.
Joe Saward wrote on his blog Senna had impressed him by making Petrov look average given Bruno's lack of experience in a decent car. Some people are still not convinced of his talent, even though I think he has a lot of untapped potential
the name Senna will hang around his neck until he wins a WDC in a Virgin or HRT I think. Showing a few what some of us saw when he was in the HRT.
I also see his name as hinderance and not a help OK it gets him financial backing but he is being watched like a hawk and every tiny error is and will be pounced upon for the rest of his career.
And judging by the way Damon Hill was treated by some his son Josh has all that to come if and when he reaches F1
Bit false, but yeah he's recovered well. If he can do the race without crashing he should get some good points.
It would be interesting to see what he can do at his best. So far in his race performances have been marred to an extent by first corner "events" and in Singapore, an under-performing Renault (where he also broke his nose cone). I'd like to see where he can get from a decent start minus accidents (caused by himself or others). But no questioning he's F1 material- people predicted Petrov would eat him alive, and that hasn't happened, even though Bruno jumped in in the middle of the season with very limited running
Im expecting points. I dont think anybody below will be able to challenge. The only thing that would stop this is bad luck or a collision
I dont think he'll get in the points. He's starting 9th right? Rosberg will undoubtably finish in the points and Perez should be challenging for points.
I am not expecting Senna to get points. I think it more likely he'll bin it actually! He's quick but untidy and at Suzuka that can be an interesting combination…
