    We get the BBC far cheaper than we get the commercial channels. The Government and the general public should realise this and be willing to pay more for their TV licence fee. We actually pay 3 times as much for ITV as we do for the BBC. You just don't notice it because you pay it gradually, everytime you go shopping. If we paid a realistic amount, there would not have to be any cuts

    I agree Paul but the government froze the licence fee and I'm surprised more official questions haven't been asked about why, especially in the light of the Murdoch investigations.

    It was frozen as its a independent body with no links to the government. The government has no say when it comes to the BBC... no wait a second.
