I was only going by what people had replied to Burnsy's tweet as Burnsy himself hadn't replied to anyone's questions. My shopping list would be one from: Rhodes Deeney Rodallega or Ulloa - scored 4 in 5 games now.
if there is 3 or 4 million left.. hopefully we can shift prozzy & fryatt and then we've enough money to bring in someone who can make a real difference.
I think it's dependent on whether any one comes in for Fryatt/Proschwitz. In an ideal world by tuesday morning I would like to see Stewart, McLean, Proschwitz and Fryatt all shifted and replaced by someone with real quality. It's unlikely and a total fantasy.
wish we could like give them cairney and £3-4m and get rhodes but i highly doubt they'd let rhodes go especially for that
Cairney and Evans have been playing really well for them. I think if we offered Cameron Stewart, Aaron McLean and Tom Cairney plus £4.5M, they'd accept it.
Fryatt, Prozzy, Stewart and Mclean won't get much interest from any clubs. All of them have reduced their market value following recent performances and the idea that someone will swap our dead-wood for a decent player is wide of the mark. Even if we offer all of them + cash the other club will be taking on their wages for the sake of getting a bunch of bench-warmers.
Perm offer for Livermore and a loan deal for Defoe into the bargain and we are safer than safe, we're mid table.
Get Huddlestone & Livermore on the blower telling him he'd score a panful with us and get his England spot inked in. Stranger things have happened, like us signing Huddlestone in the first place.
I'm going to pull a name out of the hat here and say we should go for Nicklas Bendtner. Brucies had him before at Birmingham and Sunderland, he's not getting played at Arsenal and I think he's in his last year of contract so will cost relatively little. I'm sure we'd have gone for him or at least heard something by now if we were even interested, but apparently we were interested in Livermore all summer and that came from nowhere, Brucey obviously likes him and he's the quality of player we need to be looking at.
Talk of Sessegnon being available, reckon Bruce would be interested in him or looking for an out and out striker!?
Wernt they in a struggle to convince him to stay at the end of last season? I tort bigger clubs were sniffing around him.
Don't know if he's injured but he's not on the bench today. I think he's a massive talent but he's not a pure striker.
I'd just bid the £2m or whatever it is for Nahki Wells. Got pace, knows where the goal is AND has scored against some top clubs. What do we have to lose? If we go down, at least we'll have a pacey goalscorer for the Championship. He finished with 26 last season and already has 5 in 4 this season. The kid likes scoring.
