Tomas Rincon is actually a really good player playing for a really good Hamburg side with players such as Van Der Vart, Badelj and Jiracek in midfield getting any game time is impressive. Also being Venezuelan captain at a young age is hardly a bad thing either is it? If we can sign him and Mohammed Rabiu our midfield suddenly looks very solid
@simonhul Hearing #hcafc have a couple of signings lined up for later in week - no names yet. If i was to guess i'd say Mohammed Rabiu and Tomas Rincon but that would leave us short in the creative department so I also wouldn't be surprised if Morgan Amalfintano was one (Assuming he's right of course)

What do you expect? You are a WUM for ****s sake. As the New Radicals once said, You Only Get What You Give.
Sky bet have moved us to 1/3 to sign Huddlestone; they reckon it's nearing completion after a few rather large bets. I'm inclined to think this one is a goer and is why Brucey is in London. I'm guessing with the amount of people interested in him, we'll be doing this behind the scenes to avoid another DJ Campbell scenario. If we pull this off I'll be really impressed.
If we get Huddlestone, our chances of survival improve dramatically. I so hope we get him, what a signing it would be...
If fat twat buys Tom Huddlestone for us, he can change the name to East Yorkshire whites and have us look like Leeds united for all I care.
To quote Chris Morris and Spartacus Mills: "This is a huge story that's happening isn't it?" "Oh it's bigger than that Chris, it's large."
Sako would be a great signing for the money £2-3m plus his wages to get him off Wolves books. He can play in a number of positions. However, i think a bigger name or 3 are on the way. twt as always. Agreed but i think we have bigger fish swimming into Hull now. They have both been to the diet clinic. Both were just checking each others weight loss programme whilst having a smoothie. Calm down dear. SB has poured scorn on that Doyle rumour anyway. Only a fool would think that true. As for Tomas Rincon, he would walk into the current England team nevermind Hull City. Quality player. All 3 would do for me but again i think a bigger fish is on his way. Here fishy fishy and i dont mean Martin either. My god BSM. You change your tune quickly.
It'll be interesting to see what the fee we pay for Huddlestone will be. Tottenham only paid £2.5m for him from Derby. I'd have thought it'd be at least £3m. Assuming of course that he is coming.
Huddlestone or Rincon would be good business for us if we can get them in at a fair price. Hamburg in particular have a lot of quality players, but for whatever reason they have struggled to put it all together consistently as a team in past few years.
I never understood why Van Der Vaart left Spurs for Hamburg. I liked him at Spurs. Hamburg are a great outfit on their day, but like you say they aren't consistent enough. They just lost a real gem of a player in Heung-Min Son to Leverkusen this summer as well.
If Rincon comes in, coupled with Huddlestone we'll be good to go I think. Rincon is quoted as being available for £1.5m and if Huddlestone isn't going to cost megabucks, then I think that'll see us ready for the start of the season. It will also ease some of the pressure on Koren as our creative CM.
