We wouldn't be able to compete with WBA, they need another striker just as much as we do.

Thought you would like it and respond. It Shows great discipline from you. ;)

Palace are welcome to him imo. Another who does not want to leave London. I thought Fulham may take him.

Why ? Palace will need far more than they have at the moment.

WBA also want Scott Sinclair - Jimmy Briand and Salomon Kalou. Maybe the budget wont stretch to Vydra ? Lol.

Why not ? Dont rule anything out with the Allams and Steve Bruce runing the show. We have hardly spent anything and yet the squad is almost complete. 2/3 more. A long way to go at the moment to August 31st.

Looks like he is staying with Chelsea. Jose well impressed with him so far.

Billy Sharp still available for £1.2m and he is on a par with Gary Hooper. £4.3m cheaper as well. In fact take away the few CL games that Hooper has played Billy Sharp has been playing at a much higher level.

Talk of Doncaster Rovers is just that. Talk.

I'd like us to take Jake Livermore on loan from spurs, big strong lad and won't be in and around their starting line up with how many CM's they've got!

Because WBA are better than we are and have consistently improved season on season, finishing top half last year and narrowly missing out on Europe. With all the best will and intentions in the world, we aren't going to be able to compete with a top half team for transfers. I suspect if Briand is being courted by WBA, it's why he turned us down.

I never said we would try and compete with WBA. But if WBA spend on Briand - Sinclair and Kalou then that is a massive chunk of even there budget.

As for Vydra - the jury is out on him imo.

FFS Tickler you say the jury is out on everyone if it doesn't look like they're coming here. You can't just pretend that every player who signs for someone else is ****.

Vydra looked quality for Watford, I'd have him at City in an instant.

The thing about WBA is, they can get those three players you mentioned for around £10m -£12m; they've already signed 3 players on free transfers and don't forget, they aren't building a new team to compete in the PL. They've set their own standard and already have quality players like Long, Yacob and Mulumbu. The majority of their players would walk into our squad.

Well it is ffs. He has yet to prove he can play in the PL. He may well score lots of goals in the PL but only TWT. ;)

    Correct. Just like you. <nahnah>

OMG, we agree on somehting for a change.

I dont care who does and who does not. It does not matter if they sign for us or another club. If they have no PL history then the jury has to be out. Is that concept so hard to understand ? :emoticon-0116-evilg

'The jury is out' implies that the jury has heard/seen the evidence. In this case the evidence hasn't yet been presented, so it's a crap analogy.

Your trouble is that you can't stop from spouting - good or bad, sensible or squit - out it comes.

There's apparently rumours that Nottingham Forest are about to offer £4M for Charlie Austin. Can't we just re-do what we did before, assuming he's now fit to pass his medical?

Unless of course Forest are risking buying him with an injury (which would be surprising considering the George Boyd fiasco).
