I think we miss him defensively too. He always got his head on the ball at set pieces.

Every striker seems to love to work with him. Gyan, Welbeck, Jones and Bent. If we kept 2 of theses strikers we'd be in good nick right now.

I'd even take Darren Byfield back atm!

Hindsight and rose tinted glasses on here.

Jones did nothing for us for game after game before his transfer. Absolutely the correct desision to get rid, same as Gyan

A didn't see anyone lamenting Jones' absence while Bent, Gyan and Welbeck were banging them in.

The more i think about it, one of Bruce's biggest mistakes could well be signing Wickham. If we accept that Bruce was almost powerless in losing Bent and Gyan, we can't blame him for these players moving on, but any big money striker we subsequently brought in had to be capable of delivering NOW. I'm sure all of us would feel more comfortable having, for example, Defoe in the squad. And, naturally, a quality replacement for Gyan, too. Also, i don't think we needed Gardner and that's 6 million that could have went towards striker/winger. These decisions really count.

I said before, during and after the KJ sale he should be kept at all costs.

Not rose-tinted glasses from me, ore the fact of seeing him clear corner after corner, occupy a CB even when he was playing ****/doing nowt, and chip in with a decent amount of goals for a second striker.

He signed a good international LW last January. Muntari had a very good game against England at Wembley, playing in his favourite position. But Bruce played him at CM (where he was poor) for a solid four months and then returned him to Inter as though it was Muntari's fault.

Muntari came in for some stick over his performances here. I think the criticism was correct, but aimed at the wrong man. The lad didn't choose CM - he was put there.
