Not sure what you are on about really, it seems to me the ones that you don't enjoy reading are 'armchair managers'. How is it possible to discuss tactics if you are going to agree with all Bruces team selections and formations? I noticed Chazz put a fair and reasoned comment there about team selection, does that make him an armchair manager or is that OK because he's your mate? Sorry if i am mixing you up with City Man but I don't see how you can agree with his comment which makes little sense really

The worst thing in the world would be to lose with players who went missing, we need warriors up for the fight. I just couldn't bring myself to pick diame after the last match, just remember how awful it was. I'd go for:

    Jak
    Dave....daws....Davies...robbo
    Elmo...meyler...Livermore....snoddger
    Abel.....akpom

Hudd, diame, clucas, aluko, Bruce, Haydn, goalie on bench

Trouserpress is right, take the fight to them right from the kickoff, here's the official BOJACKHCAFCMAN team for the final, picked from the comfort of his armchair :bandit:

    1.Jak
    2. Dave 5. Daws. 6. Davies. 3. Robbo
    11. Elmo. 4. Livermore 7. Meyler. 8. Hudds 10. Snodger
    9.Hernandez
Get the midfield 3 breaking forward as much as possible to support Hernandez, or alternately Snodger and Elmo to cut infield to keep us solid with the added threat of Dave and Robbos surging runs

You say pick warriors but then pick Akpom. Anything but a warrior. Weak as piss. Turner, if he's playing will batter him. Akpom will sulk throw his arms up and chuck his gloves away.
He reminds of the kid who's the size he is now at age 13, he picks the ball up deep and turns and runs at the defence. Probably scored about 10 goals a game back then.
He looks quite good when he does that but usually nowt comes of it for us.

It's all a bit late now but would have liked to have seen Hayden played more and clucas given a chance to play out his run of bad form. At least he gave aluko game time so we can safely rule him out now, just not clinical enough.

Don't mind if hudd starts but surely we can't afford hudd and diame. That's what Bruce will do tho guaranteed.

My original post was about ****s who criticise and moan before a ball has been kicked, you've read it and part of it, the "armchair" part has whooshed clean over your head. Ask Chazz to explain it to you, he certainly got it.

The last time somebody blitzed him on here like you just did he did everything but score afterwards, Bruce won't play him at any stage probably anyway so my fiver is staying in the back pocket

Surely Chazz is doing the same thing you refer to in his comment about Akpom anyway? Is that not moaning and criticising before he's even kicked a ball? There's nothing worse than people complaining about complaining apart from people complaining about people complaining when they aren't actually complaining but making valid points.

I'm not talking about Chazz's post, he read my first post (the first one to whoosh over your head) and ''GOT IT'' ....... he put a like on it, he understood the word in the quotation marks ........ don't bother replying to this (even if you do eventually get it), I'm losing the will to live.

What's the point in having a football message board where nobody talks about football ffs.

While Shef have a better 2nd forward, we have the better players in all other positions. We won more games than them, scored more goals than them, and conceded less. We shouldn't have anything to worry about as long as the players don't come out expecting to win - and I think the home match v Derby cured them of that.

Play the same team, and hope Diame actually turns in a good performance, but be prepared to yank him if he doesn't.

I think it'll be the team that played Derby.

Hopefully, with the rest, we're raring to go.

Ditto mate, I will make sure i NEVER talk about tactics again on on a football forum for fear of being labelled an 'Armchair Manager'

I think they want some sort of Stalinist Hull City board where any dissent is not allowed and we must all bow down to the almighty Bruce whose tactics are never up for debate

Back to the start Bo - we have crossed wires, my post had a joke in it and you never saw it, no matter, it was a **** joke anyway. I truly have no problem with folks swapping tactics, as you say, it's a ****in' football forum afterall ......... no offence meant, it's weird Lincolnshire banter is all.

No, Chazz doesn't. He posts himself, he plays NOT606 armchair manager with all the rest, usually starting in the MDT; he also criticises others for criticising after the game, often asking, something like 'where were your opinions before the game?'.

There's no shortage of misconceptions on here (I'm being polite).

Aren't you interested in formations and tactics? Do you not agree that the right ones can allow players to shine, the wrong ones the opposite? Can you discuss it and be convincing?

I suppose that having their names and numbers on their backs makes following them fairly easy, GPS would've a step forward though; at least the ball will always be round (ish).

It always amuses me this constant whinge, what the **** do you talk about with your mates in the pub?
