Dear me there's some venom coming from the pro Bruce guys on here.

Look I'm sorry but I don't think Bruce is a Premiership manager and I damn well stand by my right to say so.
That doesn't make me a "**** supporter" or mean I am ramming it down anyone's throat.

The people like me who don't think Bruce is up to the task, should have the same right as you pro Bruce guys. Without being abused for it.

It means I'm voicing my "opinion", some of you guys need to take a look at yourselves including the moderators. Just because it is your opinion does not mean you're right.
If anyone's trying to ram an opinion down any ones throat its the pro Bruce guys as they are the ones doing it with an attitude.

If you don't like my "opinions" **** off and read someone else's that agrees with you.
Won't be much of a forum if everyone agrees though.

and I respect your opinions mate, not sure what the moderator bit is all about mind, my opinions on here are those of me the Sunderland fan nothing to do with moderator.

Neither am I ramming anything down anyones throat, what I am doing is just what you have just done, give an opinion and like you rightly point out, this forum would be nothing without our opinions.

i don't say much about anyone's opinion mate, im a pro bruce, but ain't harping on about it.

opinions are just that, try not to tarnish everyone mate,

i read everyone's post, and trying not to be biased against anyone,
 
To be fair I think todays media have got everyone wound up, but if Gyan should go, what will be the oppinions of the pro Brucies, I have seen quite a lot of wavering from the staunchest today. Very unsettling. best the brains at the SOL do something sharpish, was looking forward to the German friendlies, now going to wait and see, now undecided.

I agree mate, I'm just getting pissed off with the pro boys thinking they have the right to slang off those of us that don't think Bruce is up to the job. I'm not a **** supporter or hate monger because of my views.

things are certainly heating up, and what we need is some good news from the sol.

if gyan goes all hell will break out, but what if he's replaced by sturridge, or the likes, will that appease some. hope so. but dare say not all.
 
I am not so much of a pro-Bruce support but more like someone trying to guess the internal workings of the club through a brick wall.

As regards Bruce, I want him to have his 3 years and then assess. And I have no problem whatsoever about anti-Bruce opinions except where they are based on totally wrong assumptions. Like somebody blaming him if they think SAFC did not get what they valued Hendo at. Bruce does not conduct transfer negotiations.

But I draw the line at anybody calling me names or telling me (or anybody else) to **** off because I hold a different viewpoint. That's why I post here and not on SMB.

I hope that I have not been somebody who you felt rammed my opinions down your throat, MR. If so, feel free to tell me.

100% what he said! we're all entitled to our views and though I'll disagree with some of the opinions here, I'll respect them but never forget respect should be mutual.

Concur wholeheartedly.

As for my reasons for not thinking Bruce is up to it has very little to do with the ins and outs at the club.
I think his tactics are rubbish and the Chelsea game apart we didn't ever look like a team last season.
Even the most ardent Bruce backer would have to agree even some of the games we won we were lucky to do so.
Strange substitions at strange times didn't help.
I honestly don't think he has the tactical nous to takes us forward.
 
Football is a highly emotive subject and following your club as passionately as we all do, we can all get wrapped up in our opinions and on a web based forum we tend to offer opinions that are very more highly charged than we probably would were we standing face to face sharing a beer and a chat.

I am as much to blame as anyone for getting shirty at some responses to my opinions and for that I tend to think about it a day later and think Cest you've been a twat there but on the message boards its passed and gone before you can say sorry mate. If were in a pub, we could say so straight away. I can assure one particular poster today I don't take Prozac but do like to chat on here when I'm off for a few days chillin out from work and have been on more than normal this week. However, if he has an opportunity to supply some off the shelf substances, please get in touch! Lol

I will give as good as I get and never get that bothered to be honest but I'd rather we could all discuss good times at the club rather than continually discuss the **** that is happening. Unfortunately for us all, we can ONLY argue about the aftermath or the speculation as we are are not responsible for the actualities.

If Quinny and Bruce come up with the goods over the next 7 or 8 weeks then its fair to say we can all start and gather round some common bonds. However, I am sure that if they don't and we start the campaign half cocked, there will be much more blood letting before the year is out.

Thats football. Vent your spleen by all means but lets not fall out permanently over it. After all, we are all chasing the same dream.
 
I have to say I agree with the getting sick of bit, I have a feeling a lot is aimed at me so why not give my opinion. This thing, IMO, is crap, we have a number of opinions with lots of in between grey areas.

When someone makes a strong post, lets say a Bruce out one and gives their reasons many people comment on that post agreing, its not a pack its fans agreeing. Someone then gives a differing view and people agree, again not a pack but an opinion.

Within those opinions we get some extreme views that get backs up, but the good thing is.

I have very differing views on a lot of things to Cest and Bill and we argue about them. I respect Cest and Bill and never fall out with either because we share one vital thing, a love for Sunderland. I have the same respect for just about every other poster on here.
 
You're right Mackemsrule. I get sick of anyone who stands up and expresses an opinion being condemned as "not being a proper supporter" etc. There are a lot of people who just think that no criticism is ever due of club, players or manager regardless of circumstances. We currently are 6 players short of a proper starting XI come August. It's hardly a sign of stability is it? I don't think he's up to it either quite frankly and if we get off to a bad start I reckon it will be curtains for him. Short must be very frustrated by the last few months in terms of results and how things have been handled.
 
I've had a few spats with Cest over the years. Including one time he nearly walked away from posting on BBC 606 (wish I could remember what that was about). We may have had our differences but I'm pleased he's still around.
Love him or loath him. You can't deny his passion for SAFC.
 
This site gives us all different opinions, some you agree with, some you dont. I know sometimes I read opinions of here that have me literally tearing my hair out (Yes, I do have hair) but wouldn't it be boring if we all agreed on everything e.g. that Bruce should go or Bruce should stay, this player would be no good or would take us to another level etc etc etc

Cest Very good post couldn't agree more, I'm Pro-Bruce always have been but if we do start the season half Cocked I think I'll be swallowing humble pie and going over to Billof England MackemRule Bruce Out camp.
