Wow, a pump action. I used to belong to a rifle club and was quite a good shot but I've never handled a pump action before.

I once got a call from his teacher who told me about this.

I reassurred her that he could not get the guns & the cartridges but it never went down well TBH.

It's just a 410 mate. Very small bore.

Guess she'll keep looking over her shoulder all the same.

The rifles we used were just .22's. Special target rifles, a lot heavier than normal rifles and when we shot against a forces team we thrashed them and when they asked to exchange rifles for another shoot out we still thrashed them because they couldn't handle the extra weight.

Did you ever use a .303 or a slr in the rifle club?

The forces team used .303's and I used one of theirs, we didn't use them ourselves though. Our's were still heavier than the .303's.

mAC10's are just good for rapid fire drive by's.

.303's are ****ing deadly if you hit a man in the chest with one then he's ****ed.

The old Lee Enfields bolt action rifles were ****ing great.

Best weapon ever though was the SLR.

I've got an image in my head of a diminutive female primary teacher jumping out of her skin every time someone bursts into her room. 10 years old Billy? <laugh> <laugh>

Correct, but you have to admit they were a tad long long and a pain in the arse to carry around, especially on streets.

    Reliable and powerfull ok.

You're not wrong there! If there was ever an indefensible liability in the club you've hit the nail on head! Makes the decent job Pards is managing to do in such circumstances all the more impressive really TBH!

Bit late to this thread now but I'll reply anyway.

I once saw a kid in cadets many many many years ago break his collar bone with a Lee Enfield .303, fired it with it about an inch out of his shoulder, the crack from his shoulder was nearly as loud as the weapon.

First time I fired the SA80 the cocking handle came off in my hand so have to agree with you. <ok>
