i think they will struggle. if you look at some of the investing teams like norwich and swansea have made since coming up its a big bridge to gap if you want to stay up. i think all 3 teams coming up will go down this year tbh

We must be really feckin confidant that we won't be anywhere near the bottom if we think we can loan players to a newly promoted side.

His stock has bombed though and wed have made a massive loss if wed sold him this summer. If he does well there we could hold out for a fee close to what we payed

Yep. That's probably what the club are thinking, Hull will cover part of his wages and we'll get a fee. Not too bad. Opened the door for a better striker to come now

Signed for £5m, booed by fans and then NO goals... after Sunderland hell, it's Hull for flop Graham

Sunderland striker Danny Graham is on his way to Hull today to negotiate a season-long loan at the KC Stadium.
Hull boss Steve Bruce has targeted the former Swansea striker after the collapse of Charlie Austin’s move from Burnley last week.
Graham, who failed to score in 13 games for Sunderland after a £5million move from Wales last season, has returned from Paolo Di Canio’s training camp in Italy and he has been withdrawn from the Sunderland squad due to fly out to Hong Kong. He is expected to meet Bruce in East Yorkshire.

Escape route: Graham, who failed to score for Sunderland having signed for £5m, is on his way to Hull
Bruce is hoping to secure a year-long loan deal for Graham, 27, who was facing fresh competition from a place on Wearside following Jozy Altidore’s move from AZ Alkmaar.
Hull are hoping Bruce’s former club will agree to paying a portion of Graham’s wages to allow a loan deal to go through.
Although Norwich City manager Chris Hughton was in the running for Graham’s signature in January, Bruce is expected to have a free run on the Gateshead-born forward.

People have mentioned DG liking the beer a bit too much while in his later swans days, which was why laudrup was apparently desperate to get rid in January. At the time we all thought £5m was a bit low for a proven prem striker but on reflection looks we fooked him off at just the right time !

He has the ability to be a steady player in the prem league,he got 12 prem goals in his first season which was great for a guy moving up a league and settling at a new team so he does have the ability, whether he has the application remains to be seen, laudrup saw it early and was prepared to go half a season without a first choice striker so he could bank the money for the summer, DG is a steady player if he applies himself correctly could get goals for hull if they play to his strengths <ok>

So, PDC wants 5 strikers. Graham (likely) on his way, as with Ji and CW (not good enough for me) maybe on loan also or might just stay as 5th choice. Does this mean we're on the look out for another two strikers?Who's it gonna be? Obviously we should be looking for someone in the better than 1 in 5 (or 15)area. Maybe another decent signing on the radar.

Think he likes Ji and Wickham, otherwise why would he take them to the pre-saeson camp?

With all the German interest I can see Ji go and a 3/4m bid will do the trick. He has already questioned CW attitude so he needs to prove that he really wants it. Can still see a championship loan for him.

The DG saga throughout January was the final straw for me with MON, it did highlight massive faults in our transfer system/policy and for that at least I'm glad it happened.

Got nothing against the guy at all but he just wasnt what we needed at all and wish him luck at Hull even though I too agree it should be a perm deal, I would even take £2M for him but hes not going to want to leave after MON's giveaway contract

I hope we have a few clauses in his loan deal like they have to buy him if he makes so many appearances or if he scores
    10 or more goals <whistle>

Good luck to DG I hope he does well at Hull.

I'm more excited to see who replaces him.

I'm man enough to wish DG luck and thank him for his efforts regardless of where he hails from.

    Surely egg on their faces?

If you're going to insult people's intelligence, at least put a modicum of effort into doing it properly. Otherwise, you just end up looking like a bit of an ignoramus...

It seems it's a season long loan with a pre-agreed fee if we want to make it permanent at the end of the season, exactly as we did we did with Elmo.

We're desperate to get some strikers in the building, so we're happy to take him off your hands.

Have you actually got any players left? :emoticon-0112-wonde
