My point is thta he cant seem to build momentum, its either good for a bit and then terrible for a longer, and I and a lot of people dont think he is making much if any progress. Your right on the final league standings, they are true yet sometimes dont reflect the true nature of events in the season and the overall state of the club, players or morale.

Dear god, have to agree with a Mag again! If the Mugs had won their last game wouldn't they have finished 8th? That would have left us out of this fabled 10th place.
I think the OP has a very valid point indeed. For Bruce to say things like 'it's not as if this is a Champions League club...' etc, is farcical. Should we not dream, hope and wish that we can be? Were the Toon? Were Leeds? Were Blackburn? Even City. From Italy this year, Udinese made it on a tiny budget (some wonderful scouting mind). Take the hope from football, the eternal hope, and where is the love? If Bruce thinks that we are somehow unworthy of even thinking of this kind of achievement, then maybe he should head back to Wigan, with no disrespect.
