Wonder what would happen if we turn up and hump Arsenal 4-0? Very unlikely but it would be interesting to see the response.

This boycott stuff just winds me up. I'm not gonna bang on about whether it's right or wrong as everybody has their own opinion and is entitled to do whatever they feel appropriate for them. I personally think it's a complete waste of time and serves no purpose, but again that is just my opinion. Ashley won't care, he will have season ticket money already from the fans and he'll still get the TV money regardless of whether or not the fans turn up.

To me it sends the wrong message out to potential players/owners and any future managers we may look at bringing in further down the track. It's not gonna cost him £20m-£30m or £50m if we don't show up, even if it did he could just sell some players to cover it, I honestly wouldn't put it past him.

I'll be surprised if we have less than 45,000 at the first game of the season, stunned if it's less than 40,000. I wonder if Ashley is gonna attend, he probably will...he's that thick skinned.
Stop banging on about it man.

According to Sky Bruce could have £90m to spend this summer, where did they get that nonsense? Then again anyone that was missing other night could be sold<yikes>

Yep and I could bone Karen Gillen. But once again rosie palm and her 6 daughters will be my quarry.

I am not over the moon about Bruce being the new manager but will certainly give him a chance. Think if he can keep the current squad together he inherits a competent back line and hopefully has the chance to remould the midfield and frontline as he wants it.
Just hope that he insists on keeping Longstaff and brings in a good striker.

I dont see us as relegation favourites by any means. Looking forward to the season start.

He’s not terrible but not great. Well finiish 12th

Bruce interview just gone out on ssn.
Didn't sound very positive, pretty much said he'd like to continue to be mid table.

I'd at least expect a new manager to say they'd like to improve and push on from previous seasons.

He doesn't want to upset Mike by sounding like Rafa to early in his contract.

If he said that fans would be on him for bullshitting and towing the Ashley propaganda. If I was manager I wouldn't even give interviews, who cares when no one listens. <laugh>

The toxicity at the club is so high right now that people think it's acceptable to spout homophobic nonsense on the new club facebook pic.

We are a shambles from the stands to the board. Disaster zone. If we continue to act like this we don't deserve a decent side, it's a match made in heaven.

We need to consider the positives rhough...

What is wrong appointing Bruce ? Rafa has had his chance and failed up to date and the toon were desperate to keep him as he needed more time to be a success and i think he would have done it too.....Rafa was offered more money elsewhere and that appealed to this multi millionaire more ...So it showed where he was coming from....Bruce is not the worst manager by a long way and as we can see by other managers you can have a nightmare with one team and be brilliant with someone else, you can never tell......So now Bruce is the new manager the club and fans should at the very least give him 100% backing and the club has started by giving him plenty of funds to work with.....You dont know how lucky you are as my team and most others can only dream of having such funds.....Bruce will do far better than the judas Rafa given time...
