Dont be too sure about that one. Agreed. Tunnicliffe has no chance in that little lot. But i suspect any loan deal would have a call back clause in it just in case. Again i agree. Luka Modric would appear to be that player if the rumour mill is correct ? I have no idea how much he would cost. Well he signed for Paderborn in 2011 until 2013 so he has a year left. Maybe £500,000 could clinch the deal with add ons i would suggest. As for Josh King. SAF has already said he will go out on loan but he wants to see most of his top kids close up on the tour as some will be loaned out and some will be sold. Plus SAF has many first teamers away on holidays after the euros and olympic duty.
I think the key with SB is to take his transfer statements with a pinch of salt and wait to see what he actually does. I get the impression he's a very savvy operator and most of the things he says are intended to influence deals rather than reassure the fans. For instance he's now strongly emphasising that Guzan was our first choice target which is something a manager wouldn't normally say after the player turned him down. It's much more likely that he only offered Guzan the No. 2 role after seeing details of Mannone's record with us last year (and the fact that when Guzan was here he was Mannone's understudy) However it puts him in a stronger bargaining position with Wenger if he suggests that he isn't exactly desperate to get Mannone (hoping that Arsene drops his price.) Similarly Bruce is now saying that he hasn't talked to Heskey yet, probably to pour a bit of cold water on Heskey's agent who could be getting a bit greedy now everyone is assuming EH is definitely coming here.
The loan rules don't allow it. If he joins us on a season long loan he can only be recalled in January. - Not strictly true, but essentially true. If all parties agree he can go back early, but he'd only be eligible for their reserves and if they were going to call him back from first team football with us to play him in the reserves then why loan him out in the first place. If he joins us on an emergency loan we can only have him for 93 days of the season. It can be split up into chunks, but each one has to be at least 28 days long, and for each chunk he has to have been with us for 28 days before they can recall him.
I would suggest it would be similar to the Brady deal. Unless MU have a massive list of injuries to there midfield players Tunnicliffe wont get a luck in. I think that IF both clubs agree a call back clause can be inserted. Though in saying that ive not read the fine print on the upto date regulations.
No. The transfer rules issued by FIFA prevent the termination of a long term (season or half season) loan other than when the parent club (ie Man U) is in an open transfer window. If a player is "recalled" outside of a transfer window he is not eligible to play for the first team until the next window opens. Dispensation can be given in the case of goalkeepers when injury means a club has no choice but to recall one they've loaned out. You're right about Tunnicliffe though, he's nothing more than a League Cup player for them this coming season.
I don't think they can. I think that loan agreements still need approval of the FA (like permanent transfers), so they wouldn't approve the deal if the agreement contravened the regulations

I think SB may have belittled the need for change for the sake of the current players. If he'd been introduced and instantly said that he wants 8 or 9 signings, players may be concerned that there's going to be a huge upheaval, whereas three or four just sounds like a healthy improvement.
Haven't done this for a while: Mannone Rosenior Chester Keane Dudgeon Stewart Coutts Koren King Heskey Fryatt We only have the ones in bold so far......... So swap Keane for Bradley, Coutts for Evans , King for Simpson (still with us?), Heskey for McLean
That's a good point. I also think he's a bit of a 'poker-player', keeping his hand covered whilst he deals with clubs and agents, for both his and City's advantage.
