In post #367 you state “It is interesting that Sunderland have had no injuries whatsoever since Bruce left, especially not Fletcher, Brown, Alvarez...etc etc.”, then in post #369 you stated “Who mentioned this season? I thought Bruce left you a few years ago.” So if you weren’t referring to this season in post #367, which one since Bruce left Sunderland are you referring to? Bearing in mind, Alverez who you specifically mention signed at the beginning of this season.

I'm struggling to understand the mechanics of these Mackems' brains, really I am. i thought I was being clear but evidently I must try harder:

Steve Bruce left his position of Sunderland manager in Nov 2011.

Since then, several players - including Steven Fletcher, Wes Brown and Ricky Alvarez to name but few - have been injured.

I'm therefore suggesting - in an obviously cryptic manner that i wasnt aware of - that players being injured and Steve Bruce being your manager are not necessarily connected.

So why did you state in in post #369 “Who mentioned this season? I thought Bruce left you a few years ago.”, when another poster pointed out that two of the players you mentioned had been mostly injury free this season? What seasons are we allowed to compare to Bruce's time at Sunderland?

Deny it all you want mate, Bruce and player injuries happen too often for it to be a coincidence. I'm not just saying this to wind you Hull fans up, I'm just stating facts. Bruce is repeating exactly the same mistakes at Hull that he made at Sunderland and Birmingham.

Strike a light. This one can't get his head around the concept of "since November 2011" at all, can he, Bummers?

The thing is Steve Bruce has a great record of getting teams promoted to the premier league ...so maybe it's a good idea to hang on to him IF by some chance we go down...

Injurys have been a big factor in why we have not picked up more points.....imo

I THINK if things don't improve though Bruce will step down .

I doubt Bruce will quit this job. He is still trying to prove that he was unfairly sacked by Sunderland. He actually believes he was sacked because of what he calls his 'geordie roots', which is utter bollox and a remark held in poor taste at our club.

Bruce is good at getting a club promoted and relegating the same club, look to Birmingham City for a proven track record. We were already in the premier league but were heading out of it under Bruce.

You clearly don't look as though you're going in the right direction at the moment, however I will watch with a keen interest if Hull don't sack Bruce because I'd like to see if he is capable of turning it around.

I'll swap you bruce for poyet?

26 points in 37 matches dimwit. What bit about that do you not understand?

Playing well and getting f**k all points means nothing. You don't stay up on how well you play. You stay up based on points gained.

It is the points gained bit which you are failing to come to terms with. You know the bit that says "if you get more points than 3 other teams in your division, you stay up".

And yours too, barelylegal.

My worry is if we got shot of Bruce we might go down anyway and Bruce would be the best man to take us back up. We aren't an established top-flight team at the end of the day. Pulis won't keep us up if Bruce can't, I don't care what he did at Palace as he won't repeat that and he's not a manager you want for the long-haul after this season. The way the Allams are I am certain they will fire Bruce if they think it will keep us up, they make a lot of bad decisions.
