Others have all made fair points. Why have so many of us changed our minds about him being an average-at-best manager just because he's now in charge of our club? He has the ability to attract some very good players, especially at this level, but some of his decisions are just baffling. He made a big mistake in signing Alex too. He's simply not Championship standard. I'd be interested to know why exactly he sent him on tonight for Faye. Was it as simple as Faye being fatigued or injured, and this unfit for extra-time (which still seemed likely at that point), or was it so his wee boy could get his appearance bonus?

cos he can bring in an egytion player to the club.them crazy allams.

This result means nothing, except in proving that we need to strengthen.
We haven't won against a lower league club, which would have just papered over the cracks.
So lets strengthen.

You're starting to sound as bitter as Percy was with Pearson.
The bloke's been manager for three league games in which we've got 4 points against three good teams. Give him a chance.

Totally agree with this. OLM is entitled to his opinon, he's just ****ing wrong and embarrassing with his Nick love-in.

He has a good record in the Championship and a fair record in the Prem.
We were all worried about him signing his son, but to be fair most on here agree that Alex Bruce hasn't been bad.
We don't know why Bruce Jr. came on for Faye and until we do it's unfair to judge.

I'm not blindly supporting SB, but I think he deserves as much chance as we would give anyone else, and I don't think he has had anything like that from a lot on here.

I imagine most City fans would prefer NB to be in charge, the fact he is not in charge has nothing to do with Bruce. I cannot believe that so called fans after 3 league games and 2 tin pot cup matches turn against new signings and new management. It seems to be something city fans do well - moan as quickly as possible. Give the guy a chance ffs. And whilst I'm appreciative of what the Allams have done lets not forget that they made the call to sack NB - probably one of the biggest city legends.

Yes...legend as a player....

On the contrary, I literally do not know one City fan who would prefer Nick was in charge. Universally, before he got the sack, every single fan I know was dismayed with the negative, 1 striker up front, 1 win in 11, never changing things when they werent working, refusing to rotate visibly exhausted players, pointless sideways passing football and how far we had regressed from when Nigel was in charge.

People disagreed with the way he was sacked, but not that he was sacked.

I don't care if he fails or not. Look at what the fans from every club he has played for say about him, we were piss poor last season, could not defend to save our life and Bruce wasn't even making the bench. On that record I don't believe ANY other manager would have signed him in this division. Do you honestly believe SB signed him for any reason other than he is his son?

I don't give a **** what he did at Leeds or anywhere else. I'll reserve judgement until he proves what he can do for us in the same way as I would support any of our players.

Jesus tonight, I don't think many are that serious about wanting Bruce out. No need to charge to his defence. Dovemeister is just being Dovemeiser and anyone that's read any city forums know full well OLM's thoughts on the fella.

I think OLM is doing a Prehistoric Bob and trying to wind people up.

I'm not saying Bruce is perfect, if he was a great manager he wouldn't be plying his trade in the championship, now would he?

His tactics may need a re-shuffle, but to call for his head (i know some aren't joking) is daft.

The result tonight was awful, but i was more furious with the cretinous reaction all over the internet, from some City fans, after the Blackburn result.

Totally agree with this, he wasn't ready for it. We now have a proper manager with a proven track record.

No McKenna! No TC!.....Looks like Olivagina will get a go against Bolton...could be a blessing in disguise! Still think Bruce needs to pull/push the 'Irons in the Fire' through before the window closes.
