Oscar Garcia is a good shout although I think sherwood would be good, I think he'd probably be a good motivator and would sort a few big time Charlie's out Ultimately anyone that can get the team playing with a bit of tempo and creativity and a bit of desired would be nice
Monk would be a great shout. Would love him here, but just don't see it. He's also not got any contacts in the transfer window and I think we'll be doing a lot of wheeling and dealing in the summer. Hernandez, Huddlestone, Elmo, Dawson, and others would likely go.
What worries about Bruce is that if we do go up, and it looks like a big if... I don't think he can keep us up by merit if I can say it like that. Like Bournemouth have done and Watford also. He's going to splash some money but ultimately we aren't going to see this flowing football, all Guns blazing, having a real go at the premier league... And if You're going to go all defensive like Watford you better make sure you get it right. And obviously the thought of him getting sacked after taking us up before prem starts is ludicrous. But if we don't go up then I'm sure he'll be gone. Feels like we could do with a fresh start and some decent managers would be keen on taking up this kind of team... Ok that's assuming 11 players don't leave this summer
SB admitted a few week's back they do little training between games ,stating the reason why was playing two matches a week.
whatever happens we need a total clear out this Summer - Brucie needs to go - players that need to be on the move are Junior, Meylor, Elmo, Diomande, Hayden, Akpom, - players that will probably leave are Huddlestone, Hernandez, Diame and players that will stay but probably aren't good enough for the Prem are Clucas, Livermore and Odubajo - Brucie has created a right mess and with this new ticketing arrangement set to be a fiasco, it wont encourage new fans but it will certainly lose another raft of long serving ticket holders, Allam's legacy will be one of decay and the smell of death
, reluctantly im beginning to come around to your way of thinking, we've not been poor as of late we've been shocking, and SB doesn't seem to have the answer, if we miss the boat this season, tend to agree with what's been said, it could be the beginning of some lean time's for city a prolonged period of being "also ran's."
Brucey needs Rickie Lambert to sign (if a realistic option to do so exists?) to stand any chance of retrieving any success from the jaws of failure this season. Either way as I've said from last year, irrespective of whether we go up or not, I for one would like Brucey gone in the Summer! I've started reading the programme notes during the game nowadays for some excitement!
What galls me, is when interviewed is his apparent lack of concern or passion. Henceforth known as the 'we have 10 games to go syndrome'. HE tends to try absolve himself of any of the mess. ( I do wish that DB was the journalist he's supposed to be and ask the right questions instead of licking his arse too). When interviewed last week Robbo said it wasn't good enough and they as players could see the way teams were setting up against us and he added and I quote 'we need a Plan A, B and C'. ****ing hell Plan A would be a start. There is a club within a club at Hull City, some are allowed as guests and some are permanent members, but the rules for all seem to be the same. Do as I say, never mind you don't want to play there. If we don't get promoted I just hope that he does the decent thing and ****s off, (I want him out anyway irrespective ) because this club and supporters deserve better than he is delivering and I firmly believe that he is the root of all the problems we are currently experiencing, not least being out thought by rookie and seasoned managers alike. Lets get someone in with new ideas, who has contacts with lower leagues where we might find one or two gems who want to play football to allow us to compete alongside some that we want to keep.
Thing is, at this level, you'll struggle to find a better manager (I know, it sounds really weird). But if he doesn't manage to get this team promoted, he's obviously not the man for the job. We can't keep saying "oh, go on, have another go" off the back of a failed FA Cup final and a two season stay in the Premier League. If he doesnt get us up, I think everybody would agree that he should go. In fact I imagine he'll walk, he'll be so embarrassed. What worries me more is the subsequent stripping of the squad of our talent, no drive forward and a season or two of free agents and low ability loans. See, people always question why I'm so worried about this season. Rowan Vine. David Amoo. Peter Gulacsi. That's why.
He was embarrassed at the end of last season and expected to be sacked… did he walk… NO… !!… his relationship with Mr Allam is far too close always has been, make no mistake and IMO, SB is not in this for HCAFC, he's in it for him. Thats why if Villa come calling with a transfer chest of £50 million he;ll be off like a shot to spend it. And with respect to your first sentence Sterling, Dyche makes him look second class with what he has to work with after losing his star players.
He was like that last season, "we need 2 more wins" yes that's fine Steve but were are these wins coming from? Which games are winnable. He was in denial of the situation
It's a worrying thought if/when we don't go up, but with Davies now re-signed, can't see any players who we will lose for free in the summer. Guys like Dawson, Hernandez, Diame, Elmo, Huddlestone will be gone, but we'll probably get something like 15-20m for those - the majority of which will be Hernandez and Diame. That should then allow us to try and keep most of the rest together, or else sell others who don't want to stay and still have a decent amount to spend on 'lesser' players.
Poor old Steve Bruce. In the run up to the important (but not decisive, ladies) Borough game, he has to answer questions about this 'Earn your Stripes' ****. He sounded irritated and embarrassed. "It's one of those horrible ones where the club's made ****s of themselves" is what I think he said.
If we don't go up, we start again! New manager, new players! We've been there before & I'm sure it'll happen again!
