I think it would have been best if he had not said anything. It ain't going away and there is only one person responsible for that.

The name won't change no matter if we go up or down, not sure what you're saying.

And 100 years? That's just silly. Tan reverted back under pressure within how many years? A new owner coming would pretty much guarantee a reversal of name, especially with the overwhelming backing of the fans. This issue will most likely disappear when AA does. Relegation won't guarantee AA backing off. If there's one thing we've learned from him is how stubborn he is.

The thing is this protest is now mainly about the man himself rather than the name change. I just wonder, they clearly haven't affected him and according to some it won't affect players and the team...so my question is maybe they should rethink the way it is done if it's having no impact on anyone.

What the hell would you expect protesters to do outside of a matchday? Can't exactly follow him round harassing him.

I've decided I've bought my last Allam diesel generator. Enough is enough.

There are many ways to protest, shouting something out loud at a place you were already planning on being for other reasons is a little lazy and lacks conviction. Makes a mockery of hungerstrikes protests, occupy movements, striking or the good ol' classic marching down the street with banners.

The protest is against the man himself after all, so why not follow him around? Toon Army did so. They also protested in the stands but that was because it related to the football being played and wanted Pardew out. Our issue relates to the club, not the football.

It's more of a venting thing really as it is having very little impact on AA. Which I suppose is fine, just as people get to vent their frustration on the team selection.
I just fail to see the impact it's actually having and therefore it doesn't actually have a purpose as people vent on here anyways.

It is only Steve Bruce who seems to want to drag football into it.
The protests are made at the game because the game is why the club exists and the club is the reason that Allam is in conflict with many within the city of Hull. These things cannot be separated and it has festered for too long because some folk have been convinced that it could. Steve Bruce had no cause to become involved, he had just won a game most predicted him to lose; he had also won away against a team predicted to beat his team, so the two protests had no negative effect and the players need to review their professionalism and speak about their job - winning games.
Steve Bruce needs to finish his season by winning games and not getting into taking sides with the owner; he needs to be very careful of crossing the fan-base, as he has a certain reputation of ricks in these things. Trust can be a fragile thing.

Steve Bruce is less qualified than any of us on here to talk about this.

He may be the club's second greatest manager, but he's not a City fan.

He's an employee of the club, and whilst he's one of the few there who are competent that's all he is. It's not his club that's being taken away, it's not him paying for another price increase next season, it's not his kids' sports club that has been rendered homeless, it's not his disabled relative that's getting a raw deal on season tickets and it's not him who's being told to die.

So whilst I respect what he's doing on the pitch I'd also like to respectfully ask him to **** off and stop telling us how to support OUR club.

He's been asked the question and responded to it as best he can, I don't think he is purposely stepping forward and telling the fans what to do as we can make our own minds up. He realises that General Allam needs his ego stroking anyway.

He wasn't asked the question, he brought it up.
