Bruce was sacked purely and simply because he had lost the plot and was not doing the basics of management, I was one of his last supporters, but he had lost it, and had to go, never once was him being a Geordie a concern to me, or the many thousands of Geordies that support Sunderland, or the majority of Mackems, I reckon a max of maybe 60-80 people chanted the factual, but unrequired 'fat, Geordie bastard' bollocks', in an average crowd of 40k, that's hardly a ****ing witch hunt. Personally, delighted he brought Hull up, I like the man, I like Hull, I had some smashing craic with a few Hull lads out back of the Blue Bell after we smashed them, it's a slightly shorter away trip, even if it's a bastard awful drive, and here is the thing, Hull are the ONLY club in Premier League history that we have a 100% record against. Scoring 10 goals in 4 games to boot. Nice. I wish people would stop with big club nonsense now, the only big clubs are the ones that play Tuesday and Wednesday nights with the operatic theme tune to welcome them onto the park, the rest, we are all also rans. Hull are never rans, but does it matter, in the here and now we're both on a level.

Aye, that's his problem to deal with mate. He knows he blew it here, he had 100% backing when he had us winning games, playing good football, but even then his substitutions and 'every man back for corners' trait wound us up. He ****ed it mate, he needs to get over his bitterness towards himself about that, and stop blaming a tiny segment of a club of 40k regulars. I can't dislike he man, he just seems a decent fella to me, but it's ****ing tiresome.
I tend to agree with you. I've always found if you admit to your own mistakes you can leave things behind & move on.

Bruce is a 'blamist' manager. Its always someones elses fault and never his ****e management ability. He was sacked as SAFC manager because his results were simply not compatible with what you'd expect of a top flight football club and when HCFC fans witness this for themselves I predict now that by March 2014 they will be calling for hi head to try and stay in the league they have just entered. He cannot handle pressure or big occassions (as witnessed in the last 4 or 5 weeks where they almost bottled automatic promotion with awful results against lowly teams) and above alal he cant handle big players. The fact he was a fat mag loving twat is secondary - relevant at the bitter end maybe but totally secondary to his hideous 2nd half of the season slumps which cost him his job here. The fact he still continues to bleat on like a ****ing spoilt kid only hardens my dislike of the fat ****er.
Agree with this. If he`d accepted the situation gracefully that would have been the end of it but he couldn`t then and he can`t now. The last sentence says it all for me.
