Yea remember they didn't get to do race simulations so that could be a factor. Anyway good to see Lewis having a joke with the media and have a little smile on his face. Good drive today and looks like he is getting his form back.
It's a bloody good job Lewis isn't driving for Red Bull or the title race would have been over long ago and working out strategies isn't racing, no matter what bigger picture you may be looking at. The real bigger picture is F1 is now in its dumbest format ever with DRS, KERs, tyres without any rubber content just to make it more entertaining for the TV masses who actually know bugger all about F1. Hamilton is a driver not a bloody math's expert, he nor any other driver should not have to be overly concerned with strategy, thats down to the team management.
That may or may not be true, however its true the McLaren driver pairing are by far the strongest on the grid. Lets seee where we are at the end of the season.
First time in 6 races Hamilton beat Button (3 months, first time since Valencia when they both finished) Thats very very poor for someone who should be world class.
Nothing concrete... Just a few murmors from some of the speed crew. Hoping it's speculation, but it didn't seem it.
I totally agree with you there Ernie. There may be more overtaking now but I don't see it as exciting. It's all artificial. I feel we'll be in the minority on that one though.
so what do you guys want then? A tyre that lasts forever fitted to a car with such good aero design that if it ever gets in front it can't be over taken because it's turned slipstream from a benefit to a hindrance? the only thing wrong with DRS is the application of it, it isn't driver controlled and it has no strategical use.
Just because that's not right, doesn't automatically make the current solution right either. I could live with DRS if it could be used at will, but it's current application is silly in my opinion.
Looks like Speed arn't the only people reporting this "argument" http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/hitandmiss-hamilton-on-crash-course-2371347.html Even heard rumours he has joined Scientology... Though my team selection for next year was slightly bold, if this rift has happend, give me a rating out of 10 on what chance you will see a Rosberg trade with Lewis to end it peacefully. No rift: 2/10 A rift: 6/10 A rift and Jenson being No1: 7.5/10
I have considered that a possibility, Rosberg for Hamilton. Who knows... stranger things have happened. I'd prefer it didn't though.
Not going to happen. You really think Ron would allow his little angel to bugger off to another team? Hamilton will probably remain a McLaren driver for the remainder of his career.
Until that long term contract is signed, anything is possible when Lewis is involved in the deal. Mercedes would pay a ton for Lewis and rightly so.
Mercedes are looking at the long game, they need 1 of the best "young" drivers on the grid to keep on pushing for 10 years, obviously schumi cant go on for another 5 years with the age really starting to show. I'm sure they would break their backs for Lewis if he came to Mercedes.
Neither Vettel, Alonso or Button are available so he would be an obvious target for them... I'm pretty sure Ross and Norbert would be more than happy to gave him and if things have been said at McLaren that can't be fixed, then it may well be a simple thing to figure all round.
