I guess we should throw Perez out of the sport as well Or Pasta "Bacon Double Cheeseburger" Maldonado, for buying himself a seat that he is patently not good enough for and causing the incidents in the first place.
Not that big a deal because its a pretty minor mistake and 3 places isn't much in the age of DRS. Its pretty similar to the amount Jenson loses every 1st corner.
By the way, does anyone know the rules about penalty for yellow flag offenses. In Turkey D'Ambrosio got a 5 place grid penalty but today Hamilton and Perez get 3 place grid penalties. A few drivers also had reprimands after the Spanish Grand Prix. Is this the FIA being inconsistent or are there specific rules about it?
FIA being inconsistent. I think Heidfeld got a similar penalty recently, but that was probably accidental knowing the FIA
Marshals were still on the track, that is a yellow flag situation with or without it being shown from the post. He knew from previous laps it was there so he has no excuse to say he saw a green light at the end of the straight, that's then, what about the part of the circuit you are on now? They are told this from an early age so tough luck for the drivers that failed to notice this. What did they think was going to happen setting a fastest lap afterwards? Did they really have the people in the firing line best intrest at heart? Obviously not...
I know it won't happen but if I was Mclaren team boss I'd pull Hamilton out of the car for the last few races and get his head right for next season, I can't see this happening in the modern era of bs. and p.r. though.
Drivers ignore yellow flags all the time. Hamilton got his penalty and accepted it. Why is there a need to make an issue out of this.
I can imagine Hamilton still beating Button in Qualifying and Race trim anyway, so no biggie for him really.
Wow, top BBC sport story... Hamilton given 3 place penalty, the fourth most important story... A prem footballer is charged for sexual assault. Fifth biggest story is about the bobsleigher who broke her back.
I have to say, the flag system and electronic light system is ****ing annoying. Remember Schumacher Monaco 2010? Same kind of thing... one sign here, another different one ahead. The FIA need to assess the situation of their rules and regulations before 2012, because they are not solid enough.
The green flag was meant to say the sector is clear, was the FIA's fault for not saying they had to cross the line in the order they are now. Why they didn't just keep the SC out and end the race like that is beyond me, this would of all been avoided.
The BBC rank their stories by hits. More people give a damn about one of Britain's F1 drivers than Titus Bramble or bobsleigh. Those stories are of more consequence, but I can't say that I'm surprised.
Because its Hamilton people cant resist sticking the knife in . All i see is pure hatred for the guy .
He owned up and now we'll just have to see what happens on Sunday, I can still see him on the podium this weekend, and I didn't think he'd win it anyway.
Yeah your right, no one has said anything about Perez?? Its getting annoying, this forum is turning back into the original 606.
