I believe that British Government wanted to shut down the Russian media channel in the UK, as they were showing the Nazi's and some atrocities that occured probably in land now occupied by Russia. I personally felt we shouldn't get involved, but then Putin decides to invade whether right or wrong and the rest as they say is history. Do I believe the EU and NATO were part to blame for triggering him, one hundred percent I do, we all know about their bombs of peace from Yugoslavia, as innocent people such as the recent mens Wimbledon winner, cowered in their shelter as a young lad. I don't disagree with much, if any of that. What I'm not clear about is, what should be done now Russia has gone in. Ukraine clearly needs support, but giving it expands the EU, but at what cost to member states? The UK and US will be among the first in line for the major projects during the rebuild, so in the short to medium term, I can only see it being a financial burden on an already creaky EU.
