They can't grasp the reality that most of us they lazily lump together are liable to disagree with each other on quite a few fundamental issues, but what we tend to share is a belief in individual responsibility, and the right for an individual to hold and share their views publicly.

Sadly it's not looking like a free country because we are letting our leaders remove our civil liberties ability to keep our businesses open and agree to be locked into our homes for fear of being grassed on to the police and fined .

16 people is probably the amount of people in a large family restaurant; 1000s of these are going belly up due to lockdowns but The Guardian don't send reporters out to these as they completely back lockdowns as it doesn't effect teachers, lecturers journalists and civil servants who get paid regardless
