My view is that there should be sensible devolution.
There's 9 regions in England plus Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
MPs for the 12 regions could decide things on a Friday when they are due in their constituency for the weekend.
Decision making should be split between what needs to be decided on a UK level, regional level and smaller levels.

 

We could also reduce bureaucracy by removing the difference between MP's and Local Councillors, and have just one locally elected body representing us in Parliament. I'd scrap party politics too. The Cabinet could be elected by or even from the Local reps. It would give an opportunity to trim the civil service, which would cut a lot of the power they undemocratically yield.

A number of Scottish local authorities are requesting similar, as they see the current system funneled through the Scottish Parliament as diluting the impact that they could have locally. A good example is the failure of the covid jab regime north of the border, where the Scotch Parliament have created a bottle neck that restricts the distribution of the jab that GP's can receive.

 

I think it would be difficult to scrap party politics easily.
The best way would be to use the transferrable vote system. This would make it easier for individuals to get elected because people wouldn't have to risk allowing a party they dislike to get it.

 

It would be much better if I was supreme leader, I could execute all those that oppose me.
