Kelvin missed a few salient points here.

Most of the people who were the ancestral slaves of modern day Jamaicans were not actually trafficked by Britons.

We, the British, bought their freedom from slavery back in 1833; and we actively stopped more slaves being trafficked from Africa. Modern day Jamaicans have no claim and they could just go back to Africa, their ancestral home, if they think life would be better.

While researching my family tree, I found an ancestor who was aboard a 26 gun British boat operating in the Cape of Good Hope area. The various tribes of that region would kidnap members of neighbouring tribes and trade them into slavery for weapons and liquor. It seems Black Lives did not Matter to black people. The Chatham Marines were actually putting a stop to it.

If they wish to leave the Commonwealth then good luck to them. Given the state that Jamaica is in, it is hard to see how distancing themselves from their colonial past is going to improve it.

No, it is the Channel Ferry service for illegal immigrants.

You would think, being so keen to help these people to get here, that they would be offering to put them up in their houses and using RNLI money to support them all. If they do not want to put them up in their houses, the RNLI could return them back to France, from where they set off.

While they are busy running this ferry service, I expect donations from crazed Lefties have grown whilst donations from sensible people have declined. If an actual boat/ship is in distress the RNLI will not be able to attend with their deck already crammed with illegal immigrants.

 

They also miss the fact that the Carib's are very much a minority group on their own islands.
