There are a few Portuguese coffee shops near me they have the specials written in Portuguese and a **** off great Portuguese flag on the wall .
I often pop in for a cheap lunch and a Superbock.

They may be fascists but I'm guessing they are just proud of their country .
Never thought to question it .

I have to look out of the window at a neighbour's Chelscum flag. He swaps it around between that, the flag of St George or the Help for Heroes one. Load of jingoistic old claptrap. Something rather common and distasteful about hanging out flags, it is a lot like shouting.

Having said that I quite like a flag and have always been interested in the history around their origins. The flag of St George, or at least what we now refer to as the flag of St George is one of the oldest national flags in existence.

Starter for 10, which flag is recognized as the oldest continually used national flag? Was always a good question in a quiz.

 

Who wants to ban England flags? I can honestly say I've never heard anyone say they want to do that.
