Reading Kevin Maguire’s ‘analysis’ of Boris Johnson’s speech to the Conservative Party conference, he left the best joke until last: “The worst is an incompetent, trivial amateur is in No 10.”

What is so funny about it is that Kevin Maguire is an incompetent trivial amateur when it comes to journalism as his article was a series of crazed Leftie soundbites, little more than the reverse of the drivel that Boris spent 40 minutes regurgitating to the membership.

To think my old boy used to read The Mirror once upon a time but now he can hardly see beyond the end of his nose and The Mirror has become a tawdry rag incapable of any serious journalistic output. Even Corbyn probably only sees it when it is wrapped around his chips, preferring the Morning Star or Izvestia.

If there is an incompetent trivial amateur in No 10, what does that say about anyone in the Labour Party? What is really needed in No 10 is a proper conservative.

 

Remoaners just love to moan, even five years after the fact. If only it were possible to educate this single brain cell species. Nowadays they have to console themselves with a feeble game of blaming everything on Brexit.

The ‘panic buying of toilet rolls’ was nothing to do with Brexit. Why would anyone think there was going to be a shortage five years after the vote?

When the first pandemic lockdown saw everyone effectively under house arrest, they were no longer able to use their employers’ toilet rolls in the offices that they usually occupied for forty hours a week. Because they were not normally at home for forty hours a week, they did not keep large stocks of toilet rolls at home so they all rushed out to buy some.

There would have been no ‘shortage’ if the vast hoards of stupid people had not rushed out to buy them at the same time, just like the petrol ‘shortage’ was created by hoards of stupid people. A subset of those stupid people is more commonly referred to as crazed Lefties.

 

If you think you've seen everything blamed on Brexit you ain't seen nothing yet. The French are saving a nice surprise for you on the 15th.

Boris' speech could quite easily have been delivered by any of the handful of Labour PMs we've had since WWII, so you may have a point there.
