I wonder if anybody asked the bar staff, catering staff and cleaners at the Brighton Loonyfest about the £15 an hour they must have been getting paid. Labour’s obsession with identity politics has a particular downfall: most of the country do not see anyone that they identify as patriotic, credible or electable. The hard Left hate England and Englishness but identify with the downward spiral of left-wing stagnation and mediocrity that is enveloping Europe.
