Not just good actually. In 2019 an ex UKIP man got 6000 votes which will have gone mostly back to Tory. This time Galloways 8250 would almost all have come from Labour. Tory chairperson on Sky just about managing not to break down in tears under questioning by La Burley.

    I thought Labour would lose.
    I wanted Labour to lose.
Should I spend five years whining about the result?

In further Good Brexit news Rishi has acknowledged that financial services is ****ed. His latest wheeze is that we should cosy up to the Chinese.

Labour keep one of their stronghold seats after desperately using Jo Cox's sister to gain sympathy votes. They've won the seat by just 323 votes. By-election outcomes usually go against the sitting governments so to run them this close is another great result for our boys and girls in blue.

Another sign that the Labour party is on its knees :1980_boogie_down:

Never was a Labour stronghold. Elizabeth Peacock held it from. 1983 until 1997 until Tony Blair ruffled her feathers. The fact that Galloway got over 8000 tells you all you need to know. Loony left.

The low key tory approach to the by-election, almost looked as though they were happy to allow the Pyrrhic victory that kept Starmer in his seat.

I haven't heard the term "Pyrrhic victory" on here since the days of Dev. You aren't Dev are you?

He's actually more boring than Dev, which is quite a ****ing achievement.

Anyways, the 'rona got Dev so shouldn't be mean. Those organic crime-free Scottish hash joints ruined his lungs, he didn't stand a chance <peacedove>
