One thing these de Pfeffel apologists have in common is that they operate by name calling and implying that their enemies are thick. Archie and myself don't agree on politics to the extent that he is of the " explain our policies to the electorate and they will understand and support them" school, whilst I am not.

60% of this country are gullible. This fraction of the electorate is best represented by those who have voted Tory in working class areas, primarily up north. As long as you tell them that you are going to pick on darkies, let them drown, cut their aid etc they just love it. Just wait a few years until they realise that Tubs latest whizzard wheeze of levelling up is just another catch phrase and that their NHS is going to collapse and their kids are going to have to work all hours for Timothy McMullett to pay rent to one of Tubs pals, who in return send some of it back to fund Carrie Antoinette 's next paint job.

I met Ken Clarke at the M&S food Hall in West Bridgford, Notts, which is where my sister lives. Ken was perusing the sandwiches during his break from surgery. If I recall correctly, he opted for the New York Deli, whereas I plumped for cheese and celery. It was a fine day out, and so we discussed the weather and how it brought out positivity in most people. All in all, a decent chap who shook my hand with some force.

 

I would rather my taxes went to the Indian Space program, for the benefit of all mankind, rather than being given to EDL chavs to spend on Engerlund tattoos.

Mate of mine is Indian and he went back after decades of living here. He said when he was growing up he'd never seen anyone fat but on his return there were lard arses everywhere with Western junk/fast food outlets all over the place. Still had people sh.itting in the street, beggars, poverty etc but a very noticeable rich elite who love a Big Mac and a pizza.
