Labour are finished in the north east, we'll be under a Tory government for at least another decade or two. On Tyneside the Labour councillors are being kicked out and replaced with independents.

A " Blighty" was a non fatal injury that nevertheless ensured your return to England. Specifically England. It's a WW1 expression, originally used in India . Do some research before ye post laddie.

 

'England' has always meant 'Britain' to the rest of the world as it's basically the only relevant bit

That's been the case for years, across Europe. It makes no difference whatsoever because nobody has the bollocks to do anything worthwhile anyway. A few hippies sitting in a city centre, spliff in hand as they recline in their bivvy with some other Tarquin, is hardly revolution. Even in America, land of the 'free', restrictions are put on protests. Oddly, nobody protests against them.
