What's the deal with USA/China/Japan/Russia/Australia/etc? We are having shipments returned by the EU over paperwork issues that were not a problem anywhere else in the world.

You do know that in Britain there is no viable alternative to private landlords eh. The social housing stock has been sold off. Mainly to private landlords. You tax them to the hilt and two things will happen. The vast majority of the hit will be placed on rents and those who can't pay will be out on the streets.

Property is money in the bank. There is little chance of a massive fall in Property prices any time soon so these landlords don't give much of a fùck whether they have tenants or not. The people that such a massive tax hike will actually hurt are those who have one or two extra properties and use most of their rent to pay of existing mortgages. They would be forced to put those houses on the market and that also means their tenants get the bums rush.

We're not following UK-specific rules, we're following rules that every country has to abide to. Why you playing the victim card?

I agree it would hurt the small-time landlords to the point where they have to sell-up. Not looked it up but expect that would account for the vast majority of rentals. Prices come down, more people can buy. Maybe local councils could invest a bit too buying back housing stock for social housing. Properties aren't just going to sit empty for years.

I'm not playing the victim card, I spent most of January making changes to our integrations with couriers in order to stop our shipments being refused entry to the EU. And NI. These integrations that had been working fine with the rest of the world for years. The EU are being awkward bastards. I just hope it is working both ways as it's causing a lot of problems for our companies.

It is working both ways believe me and nothing but grief since the 1st of January, I work for an Irish company with a manufacturing plant in England and Ireland, the English plant sends stuff to Ireland everyday and before Brexit I thought DDP was something on Pornhub.

DDP and DDU! Every customer of ours wants different rules on what is which. Massive pain. Did you know that DPD only does DDP by road? So you can have it for the EU except for places you can't drive to like Cyprus. So we have to send those DHL. Glad someone is sharing my pain :)

So what happens to the tenants whilst the landlords are selling up. Live in their cars until their local authority builds some social housing?

I expect it would be a gradual transition rather than an overnight thing.

Also bear in mind most rentals are on a contract so landlords could not put up the rent tenfold till the contract expired. Their best option would be to put the property on the market whilst continuing to rent it out for very little profit.

I presume that you voted for Brexit? Then I'm sorry I have no sympathy. I'll go further than that I'm actually ecstatic at the grief you are suffering. It's what you get for believing that lying fat owl Tubs de Pfeffel. Just suck it up. In other news Rishi has given me nearly thirty grand in the last year for a business that was basically mothballed. Some you win...
