I don't get it, Starmer hasn't been to Epstein island, but he has to resign, because Mandelson did. Trump has been there, many times, no doubt doing disgusting things and now the senate has blocked any release of what was in those files, yet Trump is fine to carry on. Can someone explain why this is ok?

What evidence do you have for that? As far as I am aware, he was listed on a number of domestic flights on Epsteins jet, accompanied by his wife, daughter and nanny. The evidence suggest that none of the fights were to the island. Mandelson was, by his own admission, a big Epstein fan, even trying to help him avoid conviction. That is a very dubious position for a senior minister to hold. Starmer must have known, and ignored it, or ignored the security advice, or was felt so incompetent he couldn't be trusted with it, either as PM or DPP Head. It shows a distinct lack of judgement in people, and an inability to follow procedures and take expert advice.
