So daddy government has banned 16 year old kids from buying cigarettes because they are not mentally mature enough to smoke ***s but they should be able to vote ?
I'd have a guess that a lot of 16 to 17year olds, if not virtually all use social media. So all it will do is up the stakes in that, and those young voters will be easily influenced. I thought I saw somewhere a while back that Reform invested more than anyone in advertising themselves via social media, and considering X is also run by Musk, I'm not convinced this will go how you might think it will go....not that I know, just thinking out loud at the prospect of it happening. Certainly going to make it interesting and social media will become even more of a minefield, not that it isn't already tbf. Whether they should be allowed to vote 16 & 17 year olds, I don't really care either way tbph.
That should be interesting... Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are all members of NATO. I visited all three countries in May and there were actually some British servicemen in Vilnius on a NATO exercise. So the Russian invasion based on images of Wilna (Vilnius) in 1918 might turn out to be another Putin misstep. Vladimir probably did not study the history of Estonia in around about 1918, when the country gained its independence from the Bolsheviks, assisted by the Royal Navy in the Baltic Sea. If you visit Tallinn you will find that the natives hold the British in very high regard even more than a hundred years later.
We should be very careful about changing who can vote. Before we allowed women to vote, Britain ruled the world. Now look at us.
Muslims women & morons tend to vote as a block along tribal grounds . See the Starmer government for proof & the London mayor
Unemployment has reached 1.673 million. The lowest point in the last two years was 1.44 million in August 2024. 380,000 jobs were ‘added’ by Liebour but 613,000 were lost. My guess is that Deliveroo and Just Eats employees are not counted in the official statistics because they are not officially here and registered to work.
