    I'm afraid looking back is the only comfort these days. I mean, what is there to look forward to in this rathole? Crime and degradation are the only definites from now on.

    My father is 83 & nearly blind , I check in on him at least 5 days a week.
    Without me he would probably be in a care home.

    That's why you have children.
