Should use some of the money being used on hotels to build camps modelled on army barracks to house those who arrive without a visa etc and those who don’t have any Id should be held in even more basic camps (tents with bunks) Using hotels grinds my gears - it’s such a waste of tax payers cash .

That would still be more than the French give them. Thing is, it's the government's job to protect the citizens. Allowing thousands of unknowns to roam freely is a dangerous dereliction of duty.
