There was no expectation that the reporters were to be harmed, even though they doxed him to at least cause alarm and distress. His family had to change address due to the very real threats of violence they received from the extreme left, which was the goal of the reporters. They know they left are violent, and also they felt empowered as there is no real reason to believe they would receive similar treatment from the right.
