Even the French admit the fault was at their end. French police blame ‘unexpected technical incident’ in Channel Tunnel for Dover delays Police in France have said an ‘unexpected technical incident’ was the main reason behind the delays. According to them, French border cops were unable to deploy at full capacity in Dover until more than an hour later than planned because of the fault. Prefet for the Haut-de-France region Georges-Francois Leclerc said it was not correct to say that the French failed to mobilise enough officers for the predicted summer holidays rush. ‘The increase in traffic for this weekend was fully anticipated and a suitable deployment was prepared,’ he said in a statement this afternoon. ‘Based on a close analysis of predicted traffic, the plan was to have all the police booths manned (at Dover) by 8:30am. ‘However an unforeseeable technical incident in the tunnel meant that police had to push back their full deployment by an hour. It was not until 9:45am that the booths were fully operational.’ https://metro.co.uk/2022/07/22/french-blame-unexpected-technical-incident-for-dover-delays-17053127/

French police were unable to demploy in Dover? Thought Brexit was all about taking control of our borders? Now we have Frogs in Kent controlling our border! What a ****show! You voted for this anaw! What a shìtshow!
Bless you Aldo, you do love showing your ignorance, and so loudly too. “In the 1991Sangatte Protocol, France signed an agreement with the United Kingdom to introduce 'juxtaposed controls' (in French, des bureaux de contrôles nationaux juxtaposés, or 'BCNJ') atEurostarandEurotunnelstations on immigration and customs, where investigations happen before travel. France is part of theSchengen Agreement, which has largely abolished border checks between member nations, but the United Kingdom is not. Thesejuxtaposed controlsmean that passports are checked before boarding first by officials belonging to departing country and then officials of the destination country. These are placed only at the mainEurostarstations: French officials operate atLondon St Pancras,Ebbsfleet InternationalandAshford International, while British officials operate atCalais-Fréthun,Lille-Europe,Marne-la-Vallée–ChessyandParis-Gare du Nord. There are security checks before boarding as well. For the shuttle road-vehicle trains, there are juxtaposed passport controls before boarding the trains.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/France–UK_border https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juxtaposed_controls
But they aren't "juxtaposed" now are they? Them checks are real. There's a world of difference between what's happening now and what happened before Brexit and no amount of you sticking your head up your arse and blah blah blahing your colon will change the fact that Brexit is to blame ya fùcking rocket. You voted for this shìt. Mind you I doubt you'll ever go to France from Dover so what the fùck do you care eh.
Brexit chaos is nothing to do with Brexit. The worst government in living memory is nothing to do with the government. The planet heating up is nothing to do with global warming. Everything is fine.
Great year was 1976, not one hot day, but two to three long months of it, oh and Southampton won the FA Cup
Yeah, I said something similar a few months back on our board when I went to Cape Verde back in early April. Manchester Airport was - well ****ing hell. Both going and returning. But the number of gammons (including my sister), both queueing up at Man Air and around the pool in CV proclaiming that it was punishment for voting Brexit was tragi-comical. My daughter said the same about going to Mexico last month: you just can't point out to them that it's not just travelling to the EU that is a problem.
They then proclaim these polls on the front page saying that "The British public" believes it's the EU fault, usually complete with a gurning picture of Ursula von der Leyen (and a picture of Meghan Markle tossed in for good measure).
Is Rishi using a bus on this campaign? Because that meaningless promise has got to go on the side of it.
