The UK problem is , access to cheap Devs n software engineers . India has them in their 1000s Cheaper , and more secure , to bring them here than offshoring. I know nothing of the actual deal being discussed btw , just know of the issue of needing Devs b cost of sourcing devs
Think how much worse it would be if if the cowboys from the Big R ranch ever got to govern ... unbelievable Jeff!
... that would rule out many Reform candidates before we even consider competency ... which will take out the rest
All of Reform are bent-as-**** grifters. It'd be a ****ing disaster, they're just more openly racist Tories.
From what I’ve seen , from last 4 the FinApp team of my workplace has hired , I conclude you are right . 3 out of 4 fail rate . Cheap but ****e . Latest hire is good though - Oracle Dev .
As usual the left tries to deflect attention away from any investigation of what their ***** Pakistani mates get up to…
My personal experience working with a few who have “master’s degrees” in computer science is the same though I’m struggling to think of one I’d give a job to.
The problem is only going to get worse imo with recruiters carrying out remote interviews and coding tests - AI ! Some of our Devs are running code through AI to debug etc but some are actually using it to code ! They say they then verify etc but I don’t believe them . Lazy well paid bastards!
I’ve had three nightmares to deal with who couldn’t do the ****ing job if you trained them for a million years. I constantly had to fix their code even though I wrote down pseudo code for them. When I say “fix” I mean “completely rewrite”…
