Actually the problem is that the French did not show up for work so there was virtually nobody doing the border checks. There is an agreement that we would perform border checks at the French side on EU citizens and the French would perform border checks at the English side on British citizens. When I last went on the Eurostar, the EU checks were at St Pancras and the British checks were at Gare du Nord. The post transition period checks started six months ago but the British school summer holidays only started this week.
That sounds remarkably like the EU starting a trade war. Immaculate timing to cut off their noses to spite their faces just as most of the bankrupt Eurozone is lurching into recession. They seem to have forgotten the big trade deficit that we run with the EU as they sacrifice member state Ireland at the altar of European integration and the Irish blame us for looking after Northern Ireland, part of our sovereign territory.

If the doom mongers were right, we should have seen huge delays for years in all the non-EU Countries we travel to. I guess we maybe would have if they were all run by spiteful and incompetent frogs. There's some desperate leaps being made to try and blame everything on brexit.

There aren’t any ferries from Dover to non EU countries. And you don’t travel anywhere, you think London is abroad.
I think London has been allowed to degenerate into a 3rd world ****hole, which is possibly what confuses you into thinking it's abroad.
I didn’t say that, but whether it’s in or out there are custom rules. The French hare applying the rules correctly, not cherry picking which ones are acceptable to the UK, this doesn’t make them spiteful or incompetent.
