This whole scheme apparently comes straight from the project 2025 playbook, and goes something like this, Threaten / impose tariffs. Spook the markets which in turn reduces interest rates. Renegotiate US borrowing on these new lower interest rates. Pass on the savings to corporations and his wealthy mates. It was supposedly going well until Trumps narcissism kicked in, which is now in danger of derailing the whole scheme! It was never about US job creation and this has been backed up by American CEO’s who have largely said capital investment will not change direction from their current global plans.

In 2012 my wife asked me to go to Burbery in Regents street to buy a duffle coat . It cost about £700 , in China it was the equivalent to £1500 in Burbery Wuhan due to the luxury goods tariffs. This is nothing new

It's like Tesco & Amazon putting small businesses out of service eventually they charge what they want because there's no competitors. Go to any English high street it's charity shops Turkish barbers nail salons candy shop vape stores & phone case money laundering fronts .
