How about we build loads of apartments & fill them with foreighners & let the tax payers fund it instead ? Saudis own very few properties but the Hong Kong (British) are buying them because we decolonised their home & gave it back to China. Rents would be much cheaper if we had a properly regulated private rental sector. That was never going to happen with the likes of Grant Schapps in government (he owns 40 former Council flats in Westminster). Let’s see what happens now.
