A Victory for the working man ... a kick in the proverbial nuts for the privileged ... What's not to like? ...
No additional tax in the wage packet mate ... the burden shifted to employers, the more wealthy and private schools (which should be abolished as they give hugely unfair advantages to kids of the wealthy, irrespective of intelligence, ability and talent)...
The word "victory" suggests something getting better, not being thankful that it isn't getting worse. The burden shifted to employers means savings made elsewhere, no pay rise, possible redundancies. Not quite sure what you think we are getting out of the VAT on school fees, etc.
Money isn't real guys It's a controlling mechanism £40bn in taxes but we can't heat the pensioners? Bollocks If covid didn't show you we don't need tax to fund the budget, nothing will Vote Mindy
Had to look these up: for people on benefits or working part-time and also receiving benefits: a savings top-up scheme introduced by the Tories is being continued and debt recovery to be pursued at a lower rate. This is almost as good as the 1p off a pint.
Inspiring Those currently judged as too ill to work, who will be forced into work by a Labour government, might feel the joy of getting paid so little in their new jobs they will still need UC to make ends meet
Exactly - getting better because the Tories would have played with the personal allowance and the tax bands to make everybody working pay for their disastrous mismanagement of the economy and the fiscal black hole, rather than just getting those best able (their mates and donors) to pay more to do so ... Simples ... and thank goodness for the enabling ... Landslide!!!!!
You've taken a long time to basically tell us that you can't think of anything in this budget that benefits the working man.
