Women are second class citizens under Islam. They are property to be forced into marriage & raped by their owners . If they refuse then the men are allowed to beat them or kill them . Muslim women are often forced to cover their hair & face or considered fair game for rape . If unaccompanied by a male relative they aren't even allowed to leave the house . In very strict muslim cults cutting off parts of the child's body FGM is perfectly acceptable as is child marriage & child rape. These are norms exclusive to muslims & perceived muslimness so Labour are attempting to write it into British law , that to question these barbaric acts is a hate crime.

Utter bollocks - straight out of the school of ignorance and bigotry... ... know, have known and also worked with lots of Muslim men and women in a career spanning over 30 years - some of the women are the principle bread winners in their family, yet their families still adhere to the broader cultural and religious principles ... without any of the behaviours you love to cite ... Men and women are equal in the eyes of Islam although they do have expected gender roles Women need to cover their hair and men need to cover from their belly button to their knees It's is both wrong in the eyes of Islam for a wife to refuse sex with her husband without good reason...and also for a husband to refuse sex without good reason In Islam women have the right to keep their own money and property but its expected that the man should be the provider while the woman gets the hoovering done Forced marriage is not valid in islam though it still happens due to pressure from the family as those being wed must agree to the marriage contract Think men are getting the raw deal here
