I think the title ends up being a misnomer, as it just seems to attract a few empty vessels that only seem capable of childish abuse and shouty things, but give it a go in posting something. At least you're someone who I respect and would be interested in reading your views.

That's the bit that's flown past the shouty empty vessels heads for years. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Politics is now shouty, feelings based, soundbitey, partisan, entrenched nonsense for the most part. It's more about feeling right and righteous indignation than it is about solving issues and problems in the country. Just tribes throwing **** at each other. They don't realise they're both just covered in **** and nothing more.

And the mandarins just carry on running things in the background, no matter what flavour wins the election.

    Exactly. <ok>

You've only been here 5 minutes, and you've grasped it already. Some of the others have been blethering on for years and still have no idea. <laugh>

Let's face it as a country we're pretty much covered in **** like both the waring factions. If only they wouldn't fight each other then things might improve.

As a wiseman* once said, we should put our differences aside, and the north and south should unite...and kick the **** out of the Brummies.

Classic divide and conquer. Don't look over here look over there. Posh boys vs the common boys. Cliche after cliche. Shame really.
I'm learning Latin ATM. Will get me a job in the cabinet that will.

Absolutely. Jordan Peterson has some great arguments on the current fashions for pigeon holing to create division, and Candace Owens has similar, albeit from a different perspective.

If people could discuss things civilly, and without the shackles of party politics, I reckon we've all got far more in common than some noisy minorities would like to imagine.

I tried growing up once, and found it grossly over-rated. It was the worst 5 minutes of my life.
