Is that response meant for me ? I never questioned the last US presidential election or how or why folk voted the way they did. my comments are about how the US political ‘elite’ are all old befuddled pensioners
Fair enough. I read it as a direct response to my points. I have no comment/opinion or made no comment or opinion on why the US voters choose a certain politician. The frontmen they can choose from …both are not playing with a full set .
As a lifelong 'lefty-liberal', I'm just saying that it must be soul-destroying to have to drag yourself out to make the effort to vote for Biden simply because he's the less awful option than Trump. Likewise, though I'm no great fan of Starmer (and I left the Labour Party over Corbyn) I'll vote for whoever gets rid of these venal, corrupt, vile Tories. I appreciate your stance is none of the above, but I'm in my 60s now and I think protest non-voting just tends to usually lead to strengthening the Tory establishment, not pulling it down. I haven't got time for organic change in the system, and I believe in trying to make the best of a bad system - as somebody once said, it's the worst system of government in the world - apart from all the others. Completely understand why younger people (I was once) want to pull down the system. I was a teenage punk in the 70s. I seem to have got old before I died.
The anti-ULEZ self-proclaimed “blade runners” (nonces) ripped down some traffic lights in their heroic rebellions which has caused a crash killing a child. A small price to pay for our freedom.
I just text them every 6 months, they paid for my recent £6k China trip with luncheon vouchers . Thinking about Dubai for Easter next
